Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible
Responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Vivien Schlecht
Linienstraße 147
10115 Berlin
Germany
Email: info@vivienschlecht.com
2. Overview
I process as little personal data as possible. This website does not use cookies for visitors, analytics, advertising, social media plugins, maps, or fonts and scripts loaded from other servers. Personal data is processed only when you visit the site (see 3) and when you contact me (see 5).
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit the site, the web server automatically records technical data in log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested page, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, and the browser and operating system you use. This is necessary to deliver the website, keep it secure and find errors. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). IONOS keeps these log files for a limited time, currently at most eight weeks, and then deletes them. IONOS processes the data on my behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
4. Cookies and local storage
The website does not set cookies for visitors. WordPress sets cookies only when I log in to edit the site. The contact form temporarily keeps what you have typed in your browser tab (session storage), so your text is not lost if sending fails. This data stays on your device, is not sent to me, and is deleted when you close the tab or after the message has been sent.
5. Contact form and email
If you write to me through the contact form or by email, I process your name, your email address, the content of your message and the time of the request. I use them only to answer your message. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or, if your enquiry concerns a contract or the purchase of a work, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The contact form passes your message on to my mailbox by email. It is not stored in the database of this website. The mailbox is provided by IONOS SE (see 3). I delete your message once the matter is settled, unless statutory retention periods apply.
6. Spam protection
To keep out automated messages, the contact form uses a field that people do not see, checks how long it took to fill in the form, uses a signed time stamp and limits the number of messages per hour. To spot messages that are sent twice, a one-way code (hash) of the message is kept for 24 hours. The message cannot be read back from this code. No cookies, captchas or external services are used. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the website and my mailbox from abuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
7. Links to other websites
This website may link to other sites, for example to social networks. Nothing is loaded from these sites while you visit mine. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of that site applies.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). If processing is based on my legitimate interests, you may object to it at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21). To exercise your rights, write to info@vivienschlecht.com.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Alt-Moabit 59-61
10555 Berlin
Germany
www.datenschutz-berlin.de
10. Security and obligation to provide data
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise it by "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser. You are not obliged to give me personal data, but without it I cannot answer a message. I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
11. Updates
Last updated: 30 October 2026. I will update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes.
